Artist: Loa Toetu'u (Solo Exhibition @Mangere Arts Centre)

Being a person who often dream about being referred to as an 'artist' for a while but is rarely motivated to take that dream closer to reality isn't easy...Since saying my goodbyes to University life, the thinking and critical mechanism have been inactive and certain ways of looking at things in general have been lacking...A close friend invited me to his first solo show and to say this is a coincidence is beyond a simple yes or no answer. While there at the show, everything became excuses to get back into the painting side of things....so certain things are right now in the making.....
