2010 Lexus HS250h launched IN Japan

The new Lexus HS250h is available in Japan now. With initials standing for harmonious sedan, the HS 250h was intended by Lexus to fit the gap between the IS luxury sport sedan and the ES luxury sedan.

While the car is fuel-efficient and has a reduced emissions level, it also provides a high level of comfort and driving performance.

In a market survey that Lexus conducted, it found that 60% of entry-luxury car buyers had an interest in the hybrid if it were only available. That’s how Lexus came up with the idea to fill a gap in its model range.

Lexus claims that the appeal of the HS250h lies with its meeting quality demands, having a lowered environmental impact and very low fuel consumption for a premium sedan.

Due to its hybrid system, the car can deliver 54.19 mpg (4.3l/100 km) and achieve a drag coefficient of 0.27, making it one of the most aerodynamic cars in its class.

The car’s interior is made from Ecological Plastic, a plant-based plastic that has the advantage of emitting less carbon dioxide in its life cycle.

But its most appealing feature, which every driver would want, is its cockpit that lessens the need for physical movement or switching visual focus while driving.
