New Honda 300cc Bikes For Brazil

While we Indians have been waiting for a practical naked bike with a decent 25-30 bhp engine, Honda went ahead and replaced the CBX 250 Twister in the Brazlian market with a 300cc bike named the CB300R. The bike looks like a scaled down Hornet and definitely one of the better looking small capacity bikes out there. The bike adorns a 110mm dia tyre up front and a fat 140mm at the rear. Powered by an air cooled 292cc engine that produces around 26.5 bhp, the 300R seems to be the perfect answer to our cries for a sporty naked machine with enough power to satisfy most users. The engine also gets Honda’s famed PGM-FI technology.

Honda is also planning to launch an Enduro styled bike using the same engine later in Brazil. Christened the XRE 300, this bike seems suited for those who like going off the trail on weekends. How about using this bike for a trip to Leh-Ladakh then?
The Brazilian market is a lot like the Indian market and we sure some one up there in HMSI is keen on getting these bikes to India. Our fingers are crossed!
